Vasanthotsavam in Tirumala

Vasanthotsavam

Is a 3-day annual ritual conducted on Suddha Trayodasi, Chaturdasi and Poornima in Chaitramasam (March / April).

On the first day

Archana will be performed in the early morning to Sri Malayappaswami along with Sridevi and Bhoodevi seated in a Golden Tiruchi will be taken in a procession through Tirumala Mada streets to Vasantha Mandapam situated in the western direction to the Tirumala temple.

Here Archana, Abhisekham and Decoration will be done to utsavamurthies. Asthanam will be conducted in the evening and they are later taken back to the temple.

The second day

The utsavamurthies of Sri Malayappaswami along with His Consorts draw attention of the devotees seated in a Silver Tiruchi, in a procession through Tirumala Mada streets to Vasantha Mandapam. Poojas will be performed in a grand manner.

Asthanam will be conducted in the evening and later taken back to the temple. The Temple complex and its surroundings are well decorated and display a glorious look to the devotees.

The third day

The unique procession of all the adorable deities i.e., Lord Rama with Sita, Lakshmana & Anjaneya in a Tiruchi, Lord Krishna with Rukmini and Satyabhama in another Tiruchi, Sri Malayappaswami with His Consorts in the other Tiruchi will be taken through the four Mada streets to Vasantha Mandapam.

Devotees may have the glimpse of the Lord’s Vasanthotsavam by seeing all the Gods at one place and have the blessings of the Lord.
