Utsavams
Lord Venkateswara who is present on the seven hills blessing all human beings is the protector of the whole universe. Every day several festivals and ceremonies are performed to Him following the diktats of Vaikhasana and Vedic traditions.
Several festivals and ceremonies are performed to ward off the evils of humans. There is no other temple in the whole of India where the daily wedding ceremony is performed to the presiding deity of such grandeur.
EVERY DAY IS A FESTIVAL IN THE TIRUMALA SHRINE. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT THAN THIS IN THIS LIFE.
Devotees right from creator Brahma down to common men and women conduct Utsavas, Uregimpus (processions), archanas, aradhanas as per their wishes to their full content. There will be one festivity or the other at any time in Tirumala.
That is why teeming with large crowds Tirumala shrine is flourishing like anything proving the adage “Nitya Kalayanam Pachcha Toranam”.
Throughout the year, there will be as many as more than 400 utsavas and sevas for the Lord of seven hills in the temple – small, big, open to all, or restricted to a few.
Lord of Ananda Nilayam, it appears, is a lover of Utsavas and more than that lover of his devotees. It is not possible to measure the love he has for his devotees.
